Final Score: 4-1, Thunder.
Post-Game Notes: Matt Carson’s hitting streak ended, while Colin Curtis extended his. Cody Ehlers hit a two-run home run, while Chase Wright turned in seven solid innings.
Jose Tabata…absent from the lineup. Whatever spin they’re trying to put on it, keep in mind Tony Franklin said that Tabata would be back in the lineup today, and that didn’t exactly happen. Hard to argue with the fact that — temper tantrum or not — he needed to be sat down for some time.

No Tabata again? Interesting

Chase Wright goes 7 innings tonight for the win. Gives up a scratch run, nothing hit hard against him. Seems to scuff around alot when runners get on, walks around the mound, 3B and catcher talk to him, but hey he’s 4-1 on the season.
Ehler’s homer iced the game after CT gave the game way on walks and errors. Cold and windy in CT tonight.
No Tabata.
Mike do you want some Chase Wright pics from tonight’s game? Carson goes 0-5 while Curis goes 2-5.

Was in Newark tonight for their home opener, so I wasn’t able to pay very close attention to this game…some pictures from tonight would be great, would be happy to use them. mashmore98 AT gmail.com or you can post a link to them if you want to have them on your site…

I’m assuming Carson’s hot streak played influence on the Tabata benching last night as well?

I doubt it, to be honest. Carson was hot at the beginning of the year as well, and they found a way for all four outfielders to be in the lineup. If Tabata’s just going to sit, send him down, the kid needs at-bats to improve…
