I agree that 2 starts for Chase or Cutch would be a nice "gift", sort of a reward for how well they have done so far. Guess it won't happen.

IMO, Horne will be back a week from Monday, although probably on a pitch count. I have read the reports that he text-ed to Chad Jennings, and also read what his Father has posted on another website. I also expect Igawa and Kennedy to change uniforms after 2 more Kennedy starts, and 2 from Igawa in NY.

So maybe with all the comings and goings, the decision was made to not move anyone up at this time.

Well, yes and no.

I agree that there will be no long-term spots for Cutch or Chase, but to throw them a temporary bone and say...hey, we like what you're doing down here, how about a shot in Scranton...that couldn't hurt.

Mike,
I am assuming that the two vacant spots at SWB are being saved for Alan Horne and Jeff Karstens, both of whom are getting close in their rehabs. It doesn't make a lot of sense to bring Wright or McCutchen up for a couple of starts and then demote them again.

It pretty much means that nobody's going to get the call just yet...however, I would assume a lot of that decision will be contingent on how Phillips does.

Does this mean that D. Mac gets the call instead, or will the AAA club go with a group of pitchers, starting with Phillips?
