Final Score: 7-1, Sea Dogs.

Post-Game Notes: A pretty disappointing start from Dan McCutchen.  He only lasted four innings, giving up six hits while walking five.  Good to see Jose Tabata showed up last night, looks like he was the only guy in the lineup who did, though.

Anthony Claggett, Zach Kroenke and Josh Schmidt each gave up at least one run in relief.  For Schmidt…in one breath, you can say he can’t pitch like that (six baserunners, six outs) and expect a regular chance, but in the next…how can you expect him to do any better if he isn’t getting regular action?

Thunder Thoughts: I will be at the ballpark again on Thursday…

This game went on forever. The park had the highest attendance of the season to start the game, but was half empty by the 5th and there were about 100 people left when the game ended. I spent the last couple of innings behind the plate talking with Phil Coke. I felt bad for him since the game ended at 11pm and he’s pitching tomorrow’s 11am game. He’s a funny guy though and definitely fan friendly. Tabata looked real good tonight. Officially he went 2/3 with a walk, a double, a stolen base and a run scored, but that 3rd at bat, I think his teammates were even cheering for him to just get out. It was a 7-1 game that had gone on for 4 hours and everyone wanted to go home and get to bed. I heard that Cervelli should be with the team soon too. He’s been put on their 7 day DL.

I also heard that Cervelli is just about ready.

Any update as to his status? It is tough to get news out of Tampa.
