The Thunder have made some adjustments to their bobblehead giveaway schedule.
Here’s the remainder of the bobblehead schedule:
June 11: Melky Cabrera
June 25: Chien-Ming Wang
July 2: Scott Patterson
July 9: Phil Hughes
July 30: Ian Kennedy & Joba Chamberlain
August 13: Ian Kennedy
August 20: Jose Tabata
Several of those dates were listed as “Bobblehead Giveaway TBD” on many schedules, and the July 2nd giveaway was originally to be a George Washington bobblehead.
And yes, that is a Jose Tabata doll.
Sadly, a Brian McNamee bobblehead commemorating The Rocket’s appearance last May is nowhere to be seen.

is there a Russo bobblehead?

I want an Ashmore bobblehead

That would unquestionably be the worst giveaway in the history of the Trenton Thunder haha.
No Russo bobblehead, at least not that I know of. It’s actually a little surprising that they’re making one of a player on the active roster, they don’t usually do that…
June 1, 2008 at 10:21 pm
and of all the players they choose tabata, go figure.
June 1, 2008 at 10:45 pm
You can give it a Tabata-ttitude adjustment.

I’d like to see a Curtis/A-Jack/Tabata triple bobblehead. Now that would be cool.
June 2, 2008 at 12:20 pm
Why does Ian get 2 different dates? Was he that popular?
June 2, 2008 at 1:15 pm
I’m guessing they wanted him to have his own individual bobblehead in case the Thunder somehow attracted the eight people on Earth who don’t like Joba to the game…
June 4, 2008 at 1:22 pm
The Thunder also have a Joba statue give-away that I assume will be something similar to a Bobblehead without the Bobble. That’s on August 31.

If it’s like the Chien-Ming Wang one from last season, it’s basically like a little miniature player figurine with a detachable base. It isn’t ridiculously proportioned like a bobblehead would be, but also obviously does not bobble…I don’t think it has any moving parts, either.

Anyone willing to help me with quality pictures of Trenton Thunder bobbleheads and statues for my site? http://www.bobblebums.com
