Pre-Game Notes: My enthusiasm about America’s youth aside, I will not be at the ballpark today. Love those camp days, though.
Chad Jennings reports that Alan Horne was sent down to Tampa to work on some things. Seems unlikely that he’d be an option for the Thunder on Saturday, but you never know…

Final Score: 1-0, Thunder.
Post-Game Notes: George Kontos with 13 K’s through eight innings, he allowed just one hit. Cody Ehlers got his average over .200, too. Good day for the Thunder.

Looks like you missed out on a gem. I’d love to hear what Aldred and Franklin have to say about Kontos today
He has the stuff… if he can get the consistency, the Pirates might be kicking themselves for not taking Coke/Kontos

Mike, Trenton just picked up a pitcher from the Nationals for Alberto Gonzalez, any word on when he’ll arrive?

Mike,
How can you be out on Trade Deadline day… we need the 411 on Nunez and Kontos’s amazing performance.
Also surprised that we didn’t try to build up our minor league offense at the deadline.

Is building up the minor league offense something teams worry about?
Scooter – I’m pretty confident Pitt will regret making the change to this deal. I think they did it because of public pressure. They decided they needed to go with guys that were rated better by baseball America. Better pub now. Worse players later.

You guys should buy tickets to the games I don’t go to, because it seems like a given the best stuff will happen when I’m not there.
Nunez will likely accompany the team on the road and could…emphasis on could…start Saturday. He is a reliever, yes…but they need someone.
