Also worth noting is that multiple media outlets — including friends of Thunder Thoughts Chad Jennings and Peter Abraham — are reporting that the Padres have claimed Scott Patterson off of waivers, sending him straight to the big leagues.
I got to know Scott pretty well from covering him both in independent ball and the Thunder, and I’m pretty happy for him. This is a great opportunity for him to go to an organization that can actually provide the legitimate possibiity of a consistent big league job.
