The Minnesota Twins have selected Jason Jones in the Rule 5 Draft.
I can’t help but hope he sticks there. He deserved better than what he got in the Yankees organization, and hopefully he has a good spring training and makes the big league club. You won’t find a nicer guy, and it would be hard to argue that you could find a more consistent pitcher as well.
The Yankees have now lost three players in the Rule 5 draft: Jones, Reegie Corona and Zach Kroenke. All three played the majority of their seasons in Trenton in 2008.

Just a quick note to thank you for your imput on Jones in Lavell’s blog and comments. I amy be mistaken here, but Jones seems to remind me a little of Brad Radke! Not overpowering, control pitcher.

You’re certainly welcome, happy to provide a little input. Hopefully he goes on to have a career similar to Radke’s, but that all remains to be seen…
