In-Game Updates (LIVE from the ballpark): Two batters into the game, and Connecticut’s on the board already. Brad Boyer hit a 3-2 double down the left line, and Antoan Richardson bunted out in front of the plate…Boyer was headed to third, and Cervelli threw low to first, scoring Boyer. 1-0, Defenders. 0 out, T1. Awesome.

Also, Chad Jennings is reporting that Jason Stephens will be making a spot start for Scranton.

Eddy Martinez-Esteve triples to center over Colin Curtis’ head, scoring Richardson. 2-0, still nobody out.

1-2-3 inning by the Thunder offense…2-0, T2.

Nova’s at about 70 pitches through five innings. Trenton’s tied the game at 2…Eduardo Nunez singled home a run in the third, and Marcos Vechionacci doubled home Colin Curtis in the 4th. Curtis hit a long double to get things going in that inning in the first place…

Mike Mooney with a long sac fly to center…Connecticut takes a 3-2 lead, T6.

95 pitches for Nova through 5 and a third, and that’s it for him. Two back-to-back inefficient outings by Trenton starters. The bases are loaded with one out, and Kanekoa Texeira is now in.

One pitch for Tex, one 4-3 DP. That’s how you do it. 3-2, heading into B6.

Maday’s out after five for the Defenders…Ben Snyder now in the game.

Nice job by Texeira…Noel Castillo in to pitch the 9th. In case I forget by the time I post his photo and video, he was at 89-92 with his fastball early in the inning. Still 3-2…

Dan Otero in for Connecticut in the 9th to close this puppy out…

Vazquez, Vechionacci don’t get it out of the infield…Cervelli singles to center. Fortenberry pinch runs for Cervelli…Cooper walks…Smith up in a 3-2 game with the tying run at 2nd…just like last night…groundout to pitcher, over.
