(PR) (Trenton, NJ) – The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Thursday left-handed reliever Lee Hyde has been sent back to the team from Triple-A Scranton. Right-handed starter Dellin Betances has been placed on the disabled list with right shoulder soreness.
Hyde, a member of the team’s opening day roster this season, made 40 appearances with the Thunder before being promoted to Scranton on July 27. He still leads the Eastern League with 12 holds. Betances has gone 3-4 with a 6.51 ERA in his 11 appearances (10 starts) since being sent back to Trenton in late June. He allowed five runs in four innings while taking his third straight loss yesterday against Altoona.
