Post-Game Notes:

Thunder Thoughts: We were 46 hits short of setting an all-time blog record yesterday. Thanks to everyone who came over to check out the Mark Newman interview, and of course, thanks to the regular readers as well.

I also appreciated the very kind words that a lot of the sites who picked up the interview had for my work and for myself, as well as what was said in the comments.

The Newman interview was, at least at one point, the 38th most read post on all of WordPress at one point.

I am, in fact, missing this game to attend tomorrow’s contest instead. There will be some level of excitement at the ballpark with Brian Bruney’s rehab appearance, and the B-Mets are throwing out a pretty good pitcher in his own right in Jon Niese.

Missing out on a Jose Sanchez start tonight doesn’t exactly make me sad, because I’ve seen the guy twice already, but it feels like it’s been about 10 times by now. Seeing him reminds me of going to the ballpark in 2006 and seeing Miguel Pinango three times and missing out entirely on Mike Pelfrey.

The “Getting To Know” feature with Austin Jackson will run after the game tonight. I guarantee you that after the first question, you’ll already know something about A-Jack you didn’t know before…
