Pre-Game Notes: The tremendous Chad Jennings is reporting that Brian Bruney will be starting for Scranton tonight in the second game of their doubleheader.  Best of luck to Bruney as he continues to progress in his rehab — by all accounts, he was a good guy and a good influence in the clubhouse while he was in Trenton.

Orlando Hernandez is making a rehab start for Binghamton tonight…Luis Jimenez was called up to Triple-A out of Harrisburg…Portland lost Michael Bowden, Jeff Corsaletti and Sandy Madera to promotions to Pawtucket, but gained top prospect Lars Anderson…

Final Score: 8-1, Thunder

Post-Game Notes: Austin Jackson was 4-for-4 with a walk.  He’s quite good.

Thunder Thoughts: Corona and Pena can’t be batting 1-2 in this lineup.  Can’t happen.  And Walter Ibarra wasn’t called up to Trenton to be an everyday player, so it’s time to stop treating him as such.  Either go with what you’ve got with Cody Ehlers and stick Malec at third, or get another infielder up here…
