In-Game Updates (LIVE from the ballpark): Was down shooting every player I could find in their pink Mother’s Day jerseys, so sorry for the lack of updates.
Emmanuel Garcia had an RBI groundout in the top of the 2nd to give Binghamton a 1-0 lead…Arias hasn’t been very efficient so far.
Also, I stumbled upon Amaury Sanit’s injury by accident. I hadn’t introduced myself to him yet, so I did so before the game…he pointed to his left knee and said “seven,” so I assume he’s hurt his left knee and was saying he’s on the seven day DL. Either that, or he was playing some weird game of Cuban charades that I’m not aware of.
Just added a bunch of videos from the past two nights…photos coming soon.
That’s now two straight games with RBI triples for Colin Curtis…he hit one to deep center field, scoring Reegie Corona. Thunder down 2-1, B4.
Jorge Vazquez plates Curtis with a single…2-2, B4.
Four innings out of Arias again, and that’s it for him…Mike Dunn now in.
Shawn Bowman takes Dunn deep to left center. No doubt about that one. 3-2, Mets, going into B6.
Added a few more videos…Jose Gil, Eduardo Nunez and Mike Dunn
Josh Schmidt’s getting loose in the pen for Trenton. He’ll likely be in the game for the 8th…
Schmidt did a great job getting out of a none out, bases loaded jam. He got a 5-2 force out at the plate, and a 4-3 DP. Great, great job right there in a one run game. Just posted a video of Schmidt, too…
Tie game, 3-3. Any guesses who hit the home run? Yup, Jorge Vazquez…a rocket down the left field line that just stayed fair. Binghamton’s third baseman signalled the ball went foul…but the umpire signalled it was fair. Oddly, they went with the umpire’s decision. Tie game, 3-3, B8.
It wasn’t pretty, but Josh Schmidt escapes the ninth inning with a sweet breaking ball…tied going into B9.
JOSE GIL WITH A WALKOFF HOME RUN TO LEFT. JOSE GIL! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. 4-3.
