AUDIO: Zach McAllister And His Quiet Confidence

Click here to download and listen to a great exchange between Times beat writer John Nalbone and McAllister during our post-game chat. Z-Mac’s a really quiet, understated kid, and John asked him a really good question about the difference in his demeanor on the mound and in the clubhouse.

Kindly give us a rundown of McAllister’s game.
    His velocity? What was working?
What does he get his K’s with?
What does he use to get lefty hitters out?
Is he a top of the rotation talent according to scouts?

Do you think Z-Mac gets to AAA soon, or does he finish 2009 at Trenton? At his age, I can see holding him a bit, but he is performing so well, he needs a better challenge.

  3. John Says:

Z-Mac = EL Pitcher of the week!! Way to throw!

  4. CEC Says:

Does anybody know if Hamilton native Jim Hoey will be here this week?

  5. John Says:

    Hoey is on the DL.

  6. CEC Says:

The BoSox web site said he is on the 7 day Dl, it has now said that for two weeks. That guy could make it if he didnt get hurt all the time. Maybe he should change his name to Pavono and the Yanks will back up the money truck.
