In-Game Updates (LIVE from the ballpark): Garcia got through the first two batters just fine, but allowed a little flare to Wilkin Ramirez…but he got out of the inning after that with no problem.
Austin Romine with a hard hit F-8 to relatively short left center in his first Double-A at-bat…
0-0, heading into bottom 2…Garcia allows one hit through two innings. 30 pitches for Garcia; 19 strikes.
Brandon Laird with a deep F-8 in his first Double-A at-bat…|
0-0 after two…

Six pitch inning for Garcia in the third…he’ll only go about 80 pitches, so he needs more frames like that one.
Austin Krum with the first Thunder RBI of the season, driving in Luis Nunez on a double to the right field gap. 1-0, Thunder, B3.
Garcia looks pretty nasty right now…that’s three straight K’s for him…and of course, as I get ready to click on update, he walks a batter.
52 pitches, 34 strikes through four for Garcia.
1-2-3 inning for Garcia…he’s really rolling. 60 pitches, 40 strikes through five. One hit, three strikeouts, one walk.
Very, very typical Opening Day game here in Trenton. It’s 1-0 through five, and the teams have combined for four hits. There have been 11 combined runs in the last three Thunder Opening Day games. For what it’s worth, Tony Franklin is 0-3 in both home openers and season openers.
Garcia gives up a hit! Gasp! The horrors! But he then got Cale Iorg to ground into a double play…so you know, it’s all good.
Wow. It is most certainly not all good. He’s out of the game. Left with trainer Tim Lentych. No obvious injury, but I’ll get updates after the game.
In more positive news, Austin Romine with his first AA RBI, a single to right. 2-0 Thunder, B6.
Bases loaded and one out in B6 for Reid Gorecki…he walks. 3-0, Thunder.
Daniel Brewer walks. 4-0.
After a nice outing from Arias — 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 BB — Noel Castillo is in.
Castillo gets the first out, and has now thrown five straight balls. Fantabulous. This leads to a mound meeting.
Grant Duff in, as expected, to close the game out. Not a save situation, of course.
Attendance of 7,216…nice job by the Thunder.

I may have a Garcia vid, I have to look through my stuff after the game. It’s hectic as all hell on Opening Day, not to mention the Garcia injury.
