Top 1st — Austin Krum, Justin Snyder and Dan Brewer go down in order against Rudy Owens…here comes Andy Pettitte.  0-0, going into B1.

Bottom 1st — Pettitte allowed a no doubt, leadoff home run to Eastern League All-Star Game MVP Chase D’Arnaud, but retired Josh Harrison, Jordy Mercer and Matt Hague in order to end the frame.  13 pitches/10 strikes.  1-0, Curve, going into T2.

Top 2nd — The Thunder put two runners on with one out for Damon Sublett, but he grounded into a 5-4-3 DP to the dn the threat…

Bottom 2nd — Pettitte retired Andrew Lambo, Hector Gimenez and Miles Durham on 8 pitches/6 strikes.  He got Durham on a 3 pitch K.

Top 3rd — Owens looked like he was again going to pitch out of trouble…the Thunder had runners on first and second with one out, but Justin Snyder struck out.  However, Dan Brewer sent a flare to right field and tied the game at one. 

Bottom 3rd — Pettitte ran into trouble…Yung Chi Chen singled to right field. Wild pitches by Pettitte advanced Chen to third, and Harrison drove him home with a single of his own. — 21 pitches/14 strikes. Total: 42 pitches/30 strikes. 2-1, Curve.

Top 4th — Owens with a 1-2-3 inning…Altoona leads, 2-1, going into B4.

Bottom 4th — Pettitte with 6 pitches/6 strikes that inning…and he gave up a base hit.  Wacky inning, but Pettitte’s been efficient. He’s at 48 pitches, 36 strikes through 4, but trails, 2-1…

Top 5th — Trenton ties it up…Luis Nunez led off the inning with a double, got moved to third by Matt Cusick, and scored on a double by Austin Krum.  2-2, going into B5.

Bottom 5th — Wow.  Pettitte loaded the bases…but induced a 1-2-3 DP and got Matt Hague to strike out swinging.  67 pitches/49 strikes total.

Top 6th — Going down to speak to Pettitte…

Bottom 8th — I came back up to see the bases loaded with one out, but Brackman escaped with a 6-4-3 DP.  2-2 game, still.

Top 9th — Altoona gets a 1-2-3 inning out of Daniel Moskos and the game remains tied, 2-2…the Curve go into the bottom of the 9th with a chance to win.

Bottom 9th — An outstanding running grab by Dan Brewer in right field sends this one to extras…2-2, top 10.

Top 10th — Austin Romine’s soft single to right center gives Trenton the 3-2 lead going into B10…

Bottom 10th — Brackman seals it…Trenton’s up, 1-0, in the best-of-5 series for the league title.
