(PR) Fans of the Trenton Thunder, the Double A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are encouraged to come to the ballpark hungry this season. The team announced many new additions to the Waterfront Park concession offerings on Tuesday including the return of Boomer’s BBQ to the Third Base concourse and the addition of hand-dipped ice cream from Goodnoe’s Dairy Farm of Newtown, PA. All new items are highlighted in bold below.
The Strike Zone Snack Express locations above sections E and N will continue to give fans an express food option. The First Base Strike Zone Snack Express will feature Hand-Dipped Ice Cream from Goodnoe’s Dairy Farm of Newtown, PA plus frozen novelty treats. The Third Base Strike Zone Snack Express location will offer Philadelphia Water Ice, Mini Melts and Frozen Novelties. Both locations continue to offer entree and snack items portioned and priced for kids including Kids Hot Dogs, Grilled Cheese , Uncrustable Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, Hershey’s Regular and Chocolate milk as well as Fritos Chili Pie and a variety of chip, cookie and candy selections.
A fan favorite and Waterfront Park fixture, “The Grille”, located along the first base concourse will once again be home to Chickie’s and Pete’s and their world famous Crab Fries and Mozzarella sticks. This season, Chickie’s and Pete’s will add “Crabby Sweets” Sweet Potato Fries to their already popular menu. The Grille will continue to be home to Dietz and Watson Italian Sausages, Cheese Steaks, California Burgers, Bratwursts, Case’s Pork Roll Sandwiches and more.
On the beverage side, the Thunder are pleased to serve Stewart’s famous Root Beer at the main food courts in addition to the full line up of Coca Cola sodas and Rosenberger’s Ice Teas and juices. Waterfront Park favorite, Squeeze Play Lemonade, which is made with fresh squeezed lemons, is available at locations throughout the concourse and from vendors in the seating bowl.
Fans attending games on the Luxury Suite level will enjoy a revised catering menu revised “Pub Menu” that features a variety of appetizer and entrée items available in individual serving portions. Also, patrons will be able to order individual liquor drinks at our Kiosk bar location in the elevator lobby. Fans enjoying the view from our Luxury Suites will be able to take the Thunder Ghost Pepper Challenge, in which they have a eight minutes to eat eight of chef John Caiola’s chicken wings made from the “hottest peppers on the planet”.
Tuesday Night games will once again feature $1 Hot Dogs but now our Kids Eat Free is on Tuesday Courtesy of On The Border. All children ages 12 & under will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, bag of chips and small soda as well as a voucher for a free a free meal from the children’s menu at On The Border (drink and gooey sundae included) when they enter the ballpark! Thirsty Thursdays™ presented by Budweiser and WPST will feature $2 Bud and Bud Light bottles from the time gates open until the middle of the 5th Inning.
