Projected Starting Pitchers vs. Harrisburg

Thursday, 7:05 PM — LHP Shaeffer Hall (0-0, 7.20) vs. RHP Ryan Tatusko (0-1, 4.50)

Friday, 7:05 PM — RHP Graham Stoneburner (0-1, 1.80) vs. RHP Luis Atilano (pictured) (0-0, 3.60)

Saturday, 5:05 PM — RHP Dellin Betances (0-1, 1.93) vs. RHP Erik Davis (0-0, 0.00)

Sunday, 1 :05 PM — LHP Manny Banuelos (0-0, 0.00) vs. TBD

** Tatusko is rated as the Natinals…ahem, Nationals 26th best prospect according to Baseball America.  Has hit 97 with his fastball, also throws a slider and changeup.

** Atilano is a former Top 30 prospect who reached the big leagues with Washington last year.  In 15 MLB starts, the former Braves first round pick went 6-7 with a 5.15 ERA.  In 85 2/3 innings, he walked 32 and struck out 40, posting a hearty 1.494 WHIP.  This is his first time back with Harrisburg since 2009, which is when I snapped that shot of him at Waterfront Park.

** Prior to joining the Nationals, Davis spent three seasons in the Padres system, where he posted a 32-9 record while topping out at Double-A.  They picked him in the 13th round of the 2008 Draft.  Has 279 K’s in 294 pro innings.

** TBD?  Who knows what to expect with that guy…in all seriousness, it would be Brad Peacock’s turn.  He’s Washington’s tenth-rated prospect.  BA has his fastball topping out at 96, and him throwing a knuckle-curve and a change.

** Also, the Senators will be without catching prospect Derek Norris, who is rated as Washington’s second-best prospect.  Norris has an injured right ankle.
