Game 33: In-Game Updates

INFO

Spotty first inning by Shaeffer Hall…17 pitches/11 strikes. One run, three hits…but he gets out of the jam with an inning ending double play. Austin Krum didn’t help matters, allowing the runner to score from second after assuming he’d stop at third base on a ball that got through the left side. He did not. The run scored. Reading up, 1-0, T1.

A Krum hustle double and Austin Romine walk put two runners on with one out…but a Brad Suttle K and Jose Gil flyout ended the threat. 1-0 after 1.

A Jose Pirela error leads to a second Reading run…2-0, Phillies, going to B2. 38 pitches/25 strikes through two for Hall.

1-2-3 inning for Austin Hyatt…Trenton down 2-0.

Matt Rizzotti destroyed a Hall offering and sent it off the batters eye in center…it’s 407 feet to dead center, and that traveled a bit further than that. Was a shot…Reading has a run in every inning, up 3-0. Hall at 64 pitches, 43 strikes through three. Not exactly pitch efficient.

Another 1-2-3 inning for Hyatt…3-0, Reading, through three.

Trenton was down 5-0 after the top of the 6th…Shaeffer Hall got pulled two batters into the sixth after throwing his 91st pitch. Melky Mesa homered in the bottom of the sixth, and the Thunder cut their deficit to 5-2, B6.
