Sublett To The DL; Okamoto Active

(PR) (Portland, ME) – The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that OF Damon Sublett has been placed on the 7-Day Disabled List.  In a corresponding move, LHP Naoya Okamoto has been activated from the 7-Day Disabled List.  The transactions keep Trenton’s 24-man active roster at its capacity.
Okamoto, a native of Yokohama, Japan, is 1-0 with a 3.72 ERA in ten appearances for the Thunder this year.  The 2011 season marks Okamoto’s first in affiliated baseball in the United States.  The lefty was signed by the Yankees as a Minor League free agent on August 20, 2010.
The Thunder are back in action Sunday at 1:00 PM as they continue their four-day, five-game Memorial Day weekend series with the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field in Maine. Trenton will send LHP Shaeffer Hall (3-3, 3.57) to mound Sunday. Hall will oppose Portland’s RHP Michael Lee (1-4, 4.89). Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and on The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Hank Fuerst begins at 12:45 PM.

What is the story with Graham Stoneburner? He has been on the DL for a lot longer than “7-Days”

Mark Newman himself told me stiff neck when he originally went on the DL. I asked Newman for an update a few days ago, and was told he and Garrison (remember him?) are rehabbing in Tampa with no set return date.
