First inning video —
Top 2nd — Scoreless through one. Banuelos allowed one hit but struck out two in the first, while Litsch had an easy 1-2-3 inning. Videos and photos soon and such.
Some Rob Lyerly footage…
Top 3rd — Banuelos has 37 pitches/24 strikes through two…he’s allowed two hits and has walked three. Litsch, meanwhile, struck out the side in order in his half of the inning. 26 pitches/18 strikes for him.
Bottom 3rd — 56 pitches/38 strikes for Banuelos…5 K’s. Litsch has struck out five of the last six he’s faced. 38 pitches/27 strikes. He’s absolutely rolling.
Top 4th — Banuelos got into a bit of a jam with a walk and a hit…but he escaped with no damage. 70 pitches/48 strikes. 1 BB, 5 K’s and four hits so far.
Bottom 4th — Litsch finally struggled a bit, allowing a hard hit double to right by Corban Joseph and an RBI single up the middle by Brad Suttle. Litsch is at 55 pitches/35 strikes through four, and the Suttle knock came on his 50th offering of the evening.
Top 5th — Banuelos will likely end his night after throwing 93 pitches, including 63 for strikes. Adeiny Hechavarria took him deep to left center on a 3-1 94 MPH fastball to tie the game, 1-1. Banuelos allowed five hits, that one run, walked one and struck out seven.
Bottom 5th — Litsch is at 66 pitches/41 strikes through five. Wonder if he comes out for the sixth. He’s allowed just those two hits in the fourth, and has struck out six.
Top 6th — That will, in fact, be all for Banuelos. Venditte in.
Bottom 7th — Back to back doubles by Brad Suttle and Rob Lyerly put Trenton on top, 2-1.
Top 8th — Josh Romanski in…here is video and such:
Top 9th — Alan Horne in to close this one out, with Trenton up 3-1. Video…
Horne gets the save, Venditte the win…3-1 Thunder
