Romine Deactivated For Futures Game Trip; Baker Added

(PR) (Reading, PA) – The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have placed C Austin Romine on the Temporarily Inactive List and have activated C Ryan Baker from the Disabled List. The moves leave the Thunder roster at its maximum of 24 active players.

Romine will play in the XM Futures Game on Sunday at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. The Lake Forest, California-native was also named to the Eastern League All Star Game’s Eastern Division squad, the second straight year Romine has received both nominations. The 2011 Eastern League All Star Game will take place Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Game two of the Thunder’s four-game set in Reading, Pennsylvania will take place at 6:35 PM on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Stadium. The Thunder will give the nod to LHP Shaeffer Hall (6-4, 3.97), while the R-Phils will counter with RHP Austin Hyatt (7-5, 4.48).
