9:55 AM — Not a thing going on here. Not a thing.
The big news still remains from yesterday, when Trenton native Steve Garrison got called up to the big leagues from the Yankees. Good friend Chad Jennings passed along some quotes from Garrison’s media session with the big league beat guys, and here are a few comments from him:
(Had seven missed calls from the trainer because his phone was on silent)
“I had to run to the terminal because I was a little late, but I made the flight.”
Groin injury: “Feeling much, much better. Last outing was much better.”
What tells you you’re ready: “My confidence is back up where it needs to be. Just having that confidence that they have in me is a good feeling. If they put me in there, I’m hoping they want me in there.”
Has it sunk in yet: “It hasn’t really hit me yet. I’m sure tonight it really will once I put on everything and go out there for stretch and everything. I haven’t stopped sweating since I woke up this morning.”
Against lefties: “I defeinitely have more confidence against lefties than righties.”
“I feel like the way I pitch and the weapons I have in my arsenal is more effective against lefties, especially with my fastball and slider, but I’ve also been working on a two-seamer and a changeup so I don’t mind facing righties.”

Nice to give up 18 hits, commit 5 errors and win.
Rare too.
It must be some kind of record.
