Matt Harvey, 2010 7th overall pick out of North Carolina by the New York Mets…

1st inning — 13 pitches/10 strikes. Was touching 97 MPH.  Two K’s, one hit.

2nd inning — 25 pitches/ 16 strikes.  Sitting 95 MPH, just like he did in the first.  Two runs, three hits.

3rd inning — 12 pitches/9 strikes.  He struck out two…Corban Joseph and Rob Lyerly…who struck out in the first as well.

4th inning — 13 pitches/9 strikes.  Five K’s through four.  No walks.

5th inning — 20 pitches/14 strikes.  One more strikeout, but he allows a run on a Pirela single.
