(PR) (Harrisburg, PA) – The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that LHP Kei Igawa has been activated off of the Disabled List. In a corresponding move, LHP Josh Romanski has been transferred to Advanced-A Tampa. The moves leave the Thunder 24-man active roster at its maximum capacity.
Igawa has appeared in 13 games (six starts) this season with the Thunder. In seven relief appearances, the former Hanshin Tiger (Japan) is 1-0 with a 0.90 ERA. In six starts with the Thunder this year, Igawa has compiled a 6.16 ERA and a 1-2 record. The lefty has not pitched for Trenton since June 23.
The middle game of this three-game set will take place on Saturday night at 7:00 PM from Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg. The Thunder will give the start to RHP Craig Heyer (8-6, 3.92), while the Senators will counter with LHP Oliver Perez (3-2, 3.04). Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR and online at trentonthunder.com.
