Romine Activated Off DL

(PR) (Erie, PA) – The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that C Austin Romine has been activated from the team’s Disabled List. In a corresponding move, C Ryan Baker has been placed on the Disabled List. The moves leave the Thunder 24-man active roster at its maximum capacity.

In 71 games with the Thunder this season, Romine is hitting .283 with five homeruns, 13 doubles and 44 runs batted in. The Lake Forest, CA-native has not played since August 2, missing 11 games with a back injury.

With the three-game set with the Harrisburg Senators behind them, the Thunder begin a four-game set with the Erie SeaWolves on Tuesday at Jerry Uht Park. Making up a game that was rained out in May, the two teams will participate in a doubleheader on Tuesday with two seven-inning contests beginning at 6:05 PM. Trenton will give the game one start to LHP Shaeffer Hall (10-6, 4.23) and will send RHP Cory Arbiso (4-4, 5.00) to the mound for game two. Erie will counter with LHP Jay Voss (7-6, 3.80) in game one and LHP Drew Smyly (2-1, 0.53) in game two.
