Garrison Placed On DL

(PR) (Manchester, NH) – The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that LHP Steve Garrison has been placed on the Disabled List. In a corresponding move, C Ryan Baker has been activated off of the Disabled List. The Yankees also announce that the rehabilitation assignment of RHP Jeff Marquez is complete. The moves leave the Thunder 24-man active roster at one below its capacity.

In 15 games (14 starts) this season with the Thunder, Garrison is 3-8 with a 6.86 ERA. The Ewing, NJ-native made his Major League debut with the Yankees on July 25 and recorded the final two outs of a game against the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium.

The Thunder and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats will continue their three-game series with the middle game on Tuesday night at 7:05 PM from Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Trenton will give the start to RHP Craig Heyer (10-6, 3.64), while New Hampshire will counter with RHP Nestor Molina (1-0, 0.82). Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and online at trentonthunder.com. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Hank Fuerst will begin at 6:50 PM.
