McGowan To Rehab At Waterfront Park

Dustin McGowan, who appeared in 75 games for the Toronto Blue Jays from 2005-08, is scheduled to make a rehab start for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at Waterfront Park tonight. McGowan joins Jesse Litsch as Toronto starting pitchers to take the bump in Mercer County.

McGowan, the 33rd overall pick in 2000, has undergone labrum and rotator cuff surgeries since last setting foot on a big league mound in 2008. He has a 20-22 record and 4.71 ERA in 353.2 MLB innings, and the 29-year-old will be making his fifth appearance for New Hampshire this season after a stay in Dunedin.

In four starts, the righty is 0-2 with a 3.38 ERA in 16 innings of work.
