Tampa Yankees righthanded starter Mikey O’Brien has been called up to Trenton and will make his Double-A debut on Friday night against New Hampshire. Officially, however, his slot in the rotation is listed as TBA. O’Brien, 21, was 4-1 with a 2.92 ERA in seven appearances, six of them starts. He’s racked up 32 strikeouts in 37 innings, and has allowed just two earned runs in 17 frames this month.
Saturday is set in stone, though, as Adam Miller will make his Thunder debut and first start of the season after getting sent down from Triple-A Scranton/Empire State.
Miller had a 4.50 ERA in five appearances so far this season. He waked four, struck out four, and the International League was hitting .342 off of him.
