As predicted, the Trenton Thunder have placed starting pitcher Alan Horne on the disabled list as a result of the hamstring injury he suffered in his May 13th start against Portland. Jason Stephens will take Horne’s place in the rotation and start on Sunday, as was listed on the rotation posted in the clubhouse anyway.
Horne was 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in three starts for Trenton this year.
There is no corresponding move to report, so the club is currently carrying only 23 players, one under the limit of 24.

my main thought – is trenton developing players or not? starters are 21, 22, 23, 24 and 24. c 22 and 26, 1b 25 and 27 for a fast tracked defector, 2b 23, ss 21, 3b 22, lf 24, cf 25, rf 25 and 26 and supersub 29. bullpen 23, 24, 25, 25, 26 and 28 for a special project. unlike previous years, i see NO 30+ career minor leaguers plugged in as place holders! imho, the same patience needed in ny equally applies to trenton.
