Yankees Select Slade Heathcott With First Round Pick (Link Fixed, Link Added)

The New York Yankees have selected outfielder Slade Heathcott with the 29th overall pick in the 2009 MLB Draft. 

The guys over at River Ave. Blues shed some light on some interesting off the field concerns, plus add a scouting report.

Not sure when he’s projected to reach the Double-A level — or whether he’ll get there as an outfielder or a pitcher — but I thought I’d just pass along the info.
