Thunder Postponed In Portland

(PR) With wind chills in the upper 20s in Maine, Saturday afternoon’s scheduled Eastern League game between Trenton and Portland has been postponed due to frozen field conditions. It will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 2nd beginning at 6:00 pm. The season-opening series this weekend has been shortened to three games.

Also on Saturday, the Thunder announced that right-handed pitcher Graham Stoneburner has been promoted to Triple-A Scranton and is expected to start for the RailRiders on Saturday. LHP Josh Romanski, a member of the 2012 Thunder team, has been sent to the team from Scranton to replace Stoneburner.
The rubber match of the series is scheduled for Sunday afternoon with first pitch at 1:00 pm. Left-hander Francisco Rondon (NR) is expected to start for Trenton while Portland counters with righty Kyle Kaminska (NR). Radio coverage on 91.3 FM (WTSR) and also streaming online begins at 12:45 pm
